Jim was a starting defender for the Florida 4A (Largest Category) State High School Champions in 1991.

Jim was a four - year starter for Towson University, and helped lead the team to a Top 15 Division 1 NCAA National Ranking and served as Captain during his senior year.

Following his graduation, Jim served as the assistant coach for Towson University.

Jim Spent five years playing professional soccer in the United Soccer Leagues for the Baltimore Bays, the New Hampshire Phantoms and the Rhode Island Stingrays.
